Currently Sr. Manager in the Molina Healthcare Office of the CIO (OCIO) managing multiple teams responsible for Project Management Center of Excellence.  Before Molina, I was the IT-Business Executive Director responsible for 42 applications (using variety of Web and non-web technologies) in support of Marketing, Sales, Underwriting, Actuarial, Pricing, and Provider Contracting departments at Blue Shield of California and Kaiser Permanente, a non-profit integrated healthcare delivery and medical insurance company.  Kaiser’s revenue is over $40B per year and has a membership base of over 9.5 million across the nation.

I support both IT and business units and am responsible for both tactical and strategic projects.  More than half of my staff is dedicated to providing ongoing maintenance and production supports for all applications under my control, the remaining staff are dedicated to project management, analysis, development, design, and implementation of variety of investment projects for our clients.  We deliver projects on time and on budget by partnering with our vendors and business customers.  I also manage 12 vendor contracts valued at $40M per year in my organization. My partnership with our vendors is mostly for the purpose of providing software services, specific application and production support, offshore/onshore staffing in a cost-effective manner.

Before Kaiser, I worked for Health Net, Inc., a large healthcare insurance company, where I  served as ITG Director responsible for development, delivery and support of several enterprise-wide business-critical Internet and Intranet applications in support of company’s Marketing, Sales and Finance initiatives.  I have over 25 years of leadership, management, and technical experience in Information Technology.  While at Health Net, I led the development and the successful launch of the award-winning Health Net’s Corporate Web Site, Healthnet.com.  I partnered closely with Marketing and Sales leadership to open a new sales channel for selling to a growing Individual Plan market (IFP) via this web site.

My expertise is in providing extraordinary customer service, partnership, collaboration, and teamwork toward achieving a common goal.  I also led several enterprise-wide cost-savings initiatives, implemented self-service web functions, improved multiple operations processes and reduced the overall transaction costs for the Call Centers. I developed, rebuilt and restructured several elite, customer-service-oriented teams at Health Net including, the Company’s first web applications development, corporate Intranet, Lotus Notes and workflow application development, Sales automation support, and Medical Informatics teams to name a few.

I received my master’s degree in Computer Engineering from University of Southern California (USC), an MBA degree from California State University Dominguez Hills (CSUDM) and a bachelor’s degree with honors in Computer Science from California State University Northridge (CSUN).

As a community volunteer, I participated in several fund-raising events including the annual Feed-the-Children event.  I enjoy teaching math, playing racquetball, basketball, hiking and bike riding with my 22-year old daughter.
